Tūrepo, Large Leaf Milk Tree, Streblus banksii

A robust large bush with spreading and somewhat weeping branches bearing large oval and dark green leaves. This attractive tree grows up to 12m tall. It grows in coastal and lowland forests, preferring deep, fertile soils.

The creamy coloured flowers between August and October followed by red fleshy berries.

Great specimen for the garden.
