Nīkau, Rhopalostylis sapida

New Zealand's only palm. A very attractive tropical addition to your garden. Slow growing but rewarding once it starts to trunk and fruit. Looks great planted in groups of varying heights.

There are distinctive forms of nikau including from Pitt Island, Great Barrier and Kermadec Islands to the West Coast. We source our seed locally to keep with our eco-sourcing principles. Looks best in sheltered areas with some shade but will handle full sun as seen on the Bream Tail track.
